Expansion of Core Program: Increase SHI’s capacity for providing direct technical assistance to farming families.
Replication through Partners: Replicate the core, essential elements of our program model with partnerships that can access almost a billion dollars in funding through government, collaborations, and networks. Possible partners include government agencies, nonprofits, universities, and businesses.
Innovation: Test and adopt innovations in our methodology to significantly lower or offset the cost of program delivery. Examples include farmer mentorship programs and earned income ventures.
Since 1997, Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) has partnered long-term with low-income family farmer communities in Central America—many of whom are women and Indigenous—to implement regenerative agriculture practices that restore the environment and improve food security.
