Phase Five (5)INSTITUTIONAL GRADUATION

Objective: Create and inspire self-sufficiency and community leadership while reducing organization’s direct aid.

Lettuce CropLength: 6 months

Core Elements:

  • Create post graduation work plan including farm and business plan
  • Conduct exit interviews that will highlight strengths and weaknesses of program and participant
  • Organizational / work evaluation by families

Benchmarks for evaluation (examples):

  • Seed SavingSatisfactory completion of work plan and five-year goals
  • Short and long-term work plans for post-graduation
  • Commitment to sustainable farming and livelihoods
