Join Celebrity Dairy and Sustainable Harvest HondurasSmaller World Tour: January 25 - 31, 2009 Dairy Goat and Cheese Workshop Join Sustainable Harvest Honduras and Fleming and Britt Pfann of Celebrity Dairy for an unforgettable dairy goat seminar. Participants will stay at Sustainable Harvest International's demonstration farm in the Honduran highlands and take part in hands-on workshops with local families eager to learn about sustainable animal husbandry practices. Workshops will include pen construction, raising and milking techniques as well as cheese making. Participants will tour family farms and learn about SHI's work to address the global issues of poverty and deforestation in the tropics. The trip will also include an excursion to beautiful Pico Bonito National Park. Program cost: $1,500 includes a $500 donation to the local program, all in-country travel expenses, meals, accommodations, sight-seeing tours, translation, staff support and materials.
